According to the Castrol website, they recommend OW-40 Castrol Edge Sport.
Before my Clio mk1 gave up the ghost, I invested quite a bit on 0W-30 (not Sport). Will this be okay in my Williams?

have a look at opie oil website you can get advice on whats the best option for your car u just mail them a few details on your car and they mail back with recommended choices at least then u have a starting point
The only Castrol mentioned is Magnatec 0w40
Putting the Sport bit of the labelling to one side for a minute, what would be the implications of using a 0w30 instead of a 0w40?
0w30? Surely that would be way too thin? Just get yourself a decent 5w/40 or 10w/40 fully synthetic, I use Helix Ultra, been the best oil I've used so far, and I have tried many lol!
Oh and don't buy Magnatec, many people have had problems with their engines sounding like a bag of bolts using this oil!!

The OW30 is the one recommended by Castrol themselves for the Clio mk1 1.2. Is 0W30 thinner than 0W40 then, so better performance but less protection?
