    Urgent Brakes Help Required

Changed my disc s and pads at the back. Went for a drive round the block. Heard grinding.

Basically the inner pad on the o/s had fallen out.

Managed to find it in our estate. Question is though, I can't see what the hell is supposed to hold them in place. I located the lug on the back in the caliper slot and have put that l-shaped bar in at the bottom of the pads.

On the n/s the pads have moved back a little and I've lost a rattle spring so they're suffering the same problem.

What the hell holds them in? I checked my old pads and can't see what I've missed.

One end goes in and teh the other end sticks out slghtly allowing room for the bit of angle to wedge in locking them in position, shoudl wedge in so to speak.

Sure you've got the right pads?

Must've been the cold and rain getting to me.

I put the locking pin in the wrong way round. What a dozy pillock. :P

    Sorted now.
