    Compare GSD2 and GSD3?

Am a big fan of the F1 GSD2. Have not used the F1 GSD3, which is a completely different design. Anyone had a chance to compare them?

Specifically, does the GSD3 behave like the GSD2 in the dry and full wet (quick reacting and oversteery)? And does it improve on the crappy damp grip of the GSD2?

The problem with comparing is I've not driven 2 in the same size. The Xsara wears 195/55 GSD2 and Matt Zollo's wears 185/55 GSD2. Mine wears 195/50 GSD3.

The only difference, which I suspect is more down to tyre size, is that the 3 rolls less and tramlines more.

Yeah, know what you mean, difference in size of the same make/model of tyre can affect the behaviour quite a bit. Let's hope someone here has done both in the same size for GSD2/GSD3. In any case, now that the stocks are in, I will probably be fitting the GSD3s in the next 3 months.

You really won't be disappointed either way mate. I suspect that teh GSD3 is just a simpler and therefore cheaper design that achieves the same results as the 2s.

    have had them both,

the gsd3 seem to be more sure footed,, BUT, and its a big but

i was running some uterly crap tyres at the back with the gsd2's up front, i cant even rememeber the brands, some random rubbish! they came with it the car. one of which had a nice slow puncture!

so not all that usefull really!

got a nice set of gsd3s now!
    superb tyres!

ive got the GSD3 in 195/50 and GSD2 in 185/55 hard to compare in the way u want as size affects it quite abit! but i went to angelsey with the 195/50 GSD3 and it hammered it down and i had alot of grip, id say more then when the GSD2 in 185/55 gives, im going to be sticking with the 195/50 GSD3 mainly down to cost
