    Megane 2.0l B/E and 1.8 16v head

    Is this a good match?

I can't be arsed with all the machining and stuff to put the full 2.0l lump in.

Just wondered how much better it would be than the 1.8l lump???

will work spot on...many meggy btm end 1.8s are quicker than williams engined cars....

No machining required to drop a 2.0 in though...

so the bottom end is a straight swap? Brun says the ECU has to be changed for the 2.0 one or the 1.8 chipped

So, for the conversion, I basically need my 1.8 head and loom, megane bottom end, starter motor, and ECU?

    That's it?

See, as this is my only car, I will be dropping it off friday morning and picking it up Sunday afternoon, so I need to have it done you see.

I can get stuff like manifolds at a later time, as long as it runs fine on the valver stuff.

righ, basically you will need a bottom end then, starter motor (make sure you get a head shield for it too, otherwise they tend not to last as long) and then its just ECU, which you can use one of Gunners, prolly cheaper and he'll have a std map i'd imagine...
