    fooked caliper

this is apic of my front disc(s)

the first circle is hub/middle of disc

outer circle is edge of disc

middle bits are pics of rust

pic at the mo as i dont have any batteries.

as mentioned... discs and pads a few weeks old. one side is much worse than other. the diameter of rust on inside of disc is all the way round too and is quite large.

also the arrows above on diagram (can i call it that?) should go top to bottom.

the shitty red colour is supposed to show rust tooo

    Front or rear discs?

Rear discs don't get used much so can take a while to get rid of rust.

How many miles ahve you done, need to give the pads and discs 1000 miles or so to bed in properly, especially if you are only replacing one of them (discs or pads)

How long has it been since you used the car and did you do any braking heavy enough to clean the rust off last time you used it

Shouldn't make a duifference, and they only only need to be done up to 35Nm iirc, not tight atall

the top caliper bolt is tight as **** the bottom one wasnt massively tight but was tight.

i personally thought sticky caliper on the top side
causing the bottom not to contact on the front side of pad

initially it looked like the pad was wrong - but if both pads are the same ????

id say the bottom slider is stuck. The bolt with the rubber cover over.

Strip the caliper down and free off....whats the otherside like ?
