    Uprated g/boxes

Right, I can get hold of a second hand box which is "in good nick" for quite cheap. I was thinking about picking it up and having it rebuilt with stronger bearings and shot peened gears etc etc.

Anyone know anyone in the northwest (manchester) that can do this for me?

Is this the weakness of the valver boxes??

Swapping gears is possible, but it's a time consuming job

I put uprated bearings in mine, and the one i'm building for it will have uprated selector forks when I get them machined. They're never gonna be massively strong but it should be enough for me.

    See ya
