    BATTERY PROBLEMS!

right peeps i had my steering column welded up toady(many thanks jim aka ballcrusher). and had problems with my battery again! so i bought a new battery! basically(as richy knows) i only use the car at weekends and by the time i get to each weekend the battery is normally flat? jim told me that it was probably a bad earth connection which i am going to rectify. but could there be anything else? or anything else i should look for?

it has the standard cobra alarm mate! thing is when i leave her standing during the week(locked in the car port) i turn the alarm off at the siren so that cant be draining it! but i do have a secondary immobiliser on the car tho which i cant turn off! but surely that cant be draining it???

get ya multi meter out the what voltage you getting when the cars running you want about 14v between battery earth and the (13mm bolt on the alternator) alternator live if you not getting that you car wont be charging up propally hence drainibg over the week

disconnect the earth put the multimeter between earth on battery and the earth strap chec for voltage drain (when every thing is off )
