High Mileage Williams Engine

Hi
What is the life expectancy on an average williams engine?

Been looking at one with 120000miles its had the top end rebuilt due to a cam belt snap with the reciepts also a full clutch kit just fitted, the engine sounds ok but just a bit dubious over anything else that might go wrong with it?

Any thoughts?

my valver engine is on 145k miles, and is tappety when cold, but apart from that still pulls like a train (its going to get replaced soon though, as like you, the mileage worries me lol)

Mines very close to 150k and shows no real signs of it giving up. Its a bit tappety every now and then but i use magnatec which makes thes engines tappety. Im gonna change it for somet else when i service it :P It burns a bit of oil too but not much, its pretty normal.

i swapped my valver with 139k on for a 51 plate punto

anyways it was still pulling fine with no probs, not tappety either? although my m8 has now done the cluth no favours!!
