Ok well between 900-1000, but why the increase?

Mine seems to do that occasionally . I have never actually been bothered to investigate though .

The cars idle (according to Nick Hill) are meant to stay high momentarily after you slow down and stop. But im not sure about staying that high for longe. Mine drops to 1200 then down to 900 about 2 or 3 seconds later. But then i drive like a girl.

The mechanic has not commented and it does return to normal, very strange though. I thought it might have something to do with it being chipped and having rev limiter increase.

what you are required to do is remove the idle speed control valve, and spray in car or brake cleaner in to the intake ports...stick in a cotton bud to spin the valve round and spray again.. leave about 20 mins..and get the hair dryer on it....then reinstall...

at high mileage the carbon build upin the iscv prevents the valve closing properly...

if that fails let be know and i'll post plan B
