Any one know what the bottom end's good for BHP & rpm wise? (in balanced state).
Also, forged pistons & rod's. JE, Welco, Eagle etc. dont seem to cater for the willey at first glance, any ideas?....

have a good read
u'll need better cams/headwork/valve-gear to rev beyond 8000 and produce decent power...no matter how good the bottom end is.
mines got balanced BE, Accralite forged pistons, and detailed standard rods. TBH i dont want to take it past 8000 without H-section rods.
ideally u want a steel short throw crank aswell, then it would really scream
Cheers mate, intresting read
Cheers mate, Cam's, head (machined port's & combustion chambers), throttle body's, inlet stack, airbox, pistons, rods (H section steel forged), programmable ECU, Alu fly wheel all full lightend and balanced were all intended any way. Just wondering wether to make a billet crank too!
Would like to keep the long crank as I'm trying to retain as much low end torque as possible + more det friendly + makes for a more efficient engine & don't have to experiment with L/R ratios,
hello and welcome!
one day when i win the lottery i will get all of my engine done lol
sounds good, similar spec to mine (minus ally fly, tho mines reduced to 5kg from 7.5, and the H rods).
what head you planning on using? if your planning on larger valves you really want to use the megane head.
also with the short throw crank, you will have problems getting disp back to stock levels due to minimal distance between bores
Presume the williams fly is same as the RSi fly, where ca you get an aly one from?
will be specially made. get on CAD and draw one, then take it to a CNC specialist
