Just got in from being out on my mates bike all day. He's gone away for the weekend so i've borrowed his R1. Awesome bike but it scares the shit out of me LOL. I've come back home to defrost, its bloody freezing.

I used to have an RVF400. You can pick one of them up for around £2500. Brilliant bike.

It'll be more torquey than the FZR (all relative of course; no 400 can be called a grunt monster) and the handling is magic-carpet like in it's ability to float over nasty road surfaces without any nasty antics.

If you're looking for something cheaper, the VFR400 is almost the same bike and they go for about £1500.

The ZXR400 is another good one. Bugger it, all 400s are frickin' amazing bikes. I'd recommend anyone (under 12 stone!) to have a go on one before saying they're crap compared with bigger bikes!
