Std Willy v Vecra 3.2 v6

Obviously point to point, a Willy, no matter what engine the Vec's got, will wipe the floor with it. However, I thought the 3.2 v6 was monster in a straight line (wasnt this the unmarked car the copper was doing 156mph on as he was 'testing' it ?). Today, coming off the Segensworth rbt towards Bursledon, I follwed said car onto the duel carridgeway bit. We both nailed it at the same time, passing a Merc that was piddling around at 30 (in a 50). We both made the move, and to my surprise, in a straight line the Willy caught the Vec, with the Vec refusing to move over causing quite an obstruction! The Vec was revving hard too by looking at what was coming out of his exhuast. I then had to back off as I didnt really want to mount him (and to keep it legal of course ).

I got caught out once way out of the power range by... dare I say it... a 1.8 vectra?
