    Merc C320 CDi

    Fook me, these are quick.

Mate is a sales person at a Merc garage and has got one of these for a company car. He reckon'd it was really quick and, the cheek, offered me up :o

I told him I wouldn't go above 100 cos it's obviously far too dangerous (and he would have mullered me above that). So we did a few rolling 40-100s and then one 0-90ish. From a stand-still and in first, second, third, I would pull two or three car lengths. Then from 80-onwards, he was starting to just creep closer again. Would have been past by about 110 I reckon.

So if you see a fat cat in one of these on the motorway, you've been warned :(

Just looked at the figures for one of these.

221bhp and 376lb ft . 0-60 in 6.9 seconds, top speed is 150mph, 50-75 in 6.2 seconds, which is apparently as quick as the C55 AMG

I'll count myself lucky he didn't completely waste me!

That isn`t that quick is it? Check my vid of mine going up a big hill...it`s looks like about 5.8secs and I would have thought a Amg C class (I think it was C32 AMG) would paste that as they do something like 4.6 0-60 and 10/11 secs 0-100

Nah, a C32 wouldn't do those type of times. And these diesels are surprisingly quick.

I only got that 6.2 figure being as good as a C55 from Yahoo cars, or something like that. Kick-down will take a while in an auto I 'spose?

    Whatever, it was quick!

They weigh about 1650kg. 138bhp/tonne, or 231 lb/ft per tonne. Apparently, 1/4 mile in 15 seconds dead.
