hillpower i/k or itg panel in standard airbox

right ive got a hillpower ik which was on the car when i got it its in a semi enclosed heat shield with cold air feed and it sounds ****ing amazing. however purely on performance would a good element like itg in the standard airbox be a better bet? ive popped the bonnet after a good run and the top of the filter is warm from the engine heat. in saying that it doesnt feel sluggish. should i wait until after winter then put the airbox back on and take advantage of the cold air?

couldnt honestly say about the hill power i/k, but i do have a ITG panel filter in std box, not had any problems, and no noticed a loss or gain of power tbh, just it runs ok lol

    ive tried both :D

both have plus and negative points:

    open ik:

+ **** me it sounds awesome!
    - attracts unwanted attention when you dont want it if you boot it
    - performance loss (can feel sluggish)

    itg:

    + cheaper ;)
    + no performance loss
    - doesn't make an induction roar!

If you do go back to your o/e filter housing we now sell a spot lamp scoop and big bore pipe kit. There are some pictures on www.f7power.com in the media part. The kit will be sold in three stages. 1. Full kit with performance filter. 2. scoop and pipe work. 3. Pipe work only.
