This the top mount? How hard a job is it to change?

very easy, nothing to it.

- unbolt
- jack up engine
- unbolt some more
- whip old one off
- new one on
- bolt up
- lower engine
- bolt up some more

job done. just try and put it all back using the dirty marks of the old one.

sounds good to me, guna change mine for definate, top mount snapped on my old 306... nasty!!!

whats a snapped top mount on a 306 look like??? my girlfriends car is a 306 which has a blowing exhaust and has just blown the head gasket... the top mount has a block of rubber that i can move about quite freely???

when you do the mount, just make sure you mark stuff so you can put it back roughly in line to how it was before. you can normally use the dirty/clean mark, but the bolt holes on the bottom mount are slots, so just try and use a little patience lining it up.

The 306 mount snapped, metal and all, not just the rubber bit, the engine dropped an inch out of the bay...amazing cambelt etc stayed in tact. It's been off the road about 4months now, gave up on it when i got the valver!
