    HELP valver problem

My clio has been playing up the last couple of days and today it has gone really bad.

It has a lumpy idle and wont rev past 2500rpm, there is just no power at all.

All this troble started when I replaced the water pump and flushed the system through.

Today I replaced the water temp sender (square white plug one) but it has made no difference.

Even the RAC didnt know what was wrong but recons it might be a fueling problem.

    Any one got any ideas

    Thanks

Oly thign i can think, that woudl be associated wiht the water pump that might casue it is the alternator, but i can't see how

Might be worth checking the charge in the battery.

You didn't get coolant on any electrics did you?

Did you flush the system through wiht water, or use a chemical agent?

Alternator still charging at over 14 volts

We did us a rad flush from Halfords because I didnt know how much crap was in the system.

Well that will remove any crap that is blocking leaks etc, so might be there is a problem wiht coolant escaping somewhere.

Has the level gone down and have you noticed any patches under the car.

Check for the usual signs of head gasket having gone too

Are all 4 cylinders firing? It sounds like you could be on three legs.

All the plugs seem fine when I removed the yesterday but the RAC never checked and said it dosent sound like a missfire.

It does seem to idle fine most of the time, it is not until you try to pull off and put the power on.

Sounds VERY much, liek the RAC man said, lack of fuel, when you unplug the fuel pump to depressurise the fuel system, it idles fine, a bit liumpy, give it any gas and it stalls and dies.

Check the fuel filter, and pump
