My gearbox appears 2 be f*cked, can anyone recommend a decent peformance box 2 replace it with and where abouts i can locate it, didnt want 2 just replace it with a second hand clio box cos you can never be 2 sure if that 1 was buggered n all and if anything needs replacing on my car i aim 2 get it upgraded rather than just replaced.

IIRC there aren't any uprated ones int eh true sense of the word, you have racing ones etc wiht more gears and different ratios.

Out of the mk1 boxes the Williams' seems to be the strongest

to go uprated - u can have a lsd or gripper differantial fitted. but it cost mega money.
