Lad whose done a few bits on my car (cambelt etc etc) trust him fully, has just fitted a new gearbox mount.
He said it was a mount right near the exhaust with one bolt holding it. He has took out the old bolt and put the new bolt in the mount the opposite way to how it was because if not apparently he would have to take off the exhaust...is this going to cause any probs the bolt being the other way?
Silly question but thought id better ask...?

probably because he couldnt be arsed moving the downpipe in order to put it throught the correct way, or he isnt using an oe bolt.

Exactly...and dont blame him lol. just wanted to make sure it wasn't the original way for a certain reason etc.probably because he couldnt be arsed moving the downpipe

I did the exact same thing with my dogbone mount (put the bolt in opposite way).
It doesn't matter which way in the bolt goes.
