JUST PUT A NEW BACK BOX ON!

I have just taken off a Devil back box system because it had a couple of rust holes along the seam and failed a mot. I have fitted a normal rcw back box and it seems too quiet now. I cant figure out if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

On one hand I dont wanna seem like some boy racer chav making loads of noise, but in the other hand it seems like I am driving a refined and boring motor and not a throaty little sports car!!!

Also the chrome tail pipe does'nt stick out the back as much as the last exhaust its more flush with the bumper. If anyone on here has a standard exhaust system for their rcw could you tell me it the tail pipe is supposed to stick out the back about a inch or not?? ( Pics would be even better ) :D

    Cheers

standard exhuast pipes should point down and be flush with the bumper.

Heres mine before it was replaced.

willydave - that appears to be a non standard backbox.

    Might be a performance one.

If u can get some pictures i will have a look.

dont worry about little things like exhausts...its what makes our cars individual.

But if u fancy original - replace when it wears out.
