The Mk6 ones (newest) are fast, but the others are shite. Think the Mk2 GTi 16v is probably the fastest of the bunch lol.

raced a MK2 16v and smoked it... it was slow as ****, Wayne's valver had a lot of catching up to do on the vid and passed it easily.

raced a VR6 older shape one with 2 passengers, other driver had his bird in the car. was all over him up to silly speeds and was backing off a lot... he didn't move over...

the vr6s will be left way behind...til u start hitting silly speeds then theyl claw it back...1** on mine after leaving me mate well behind..he came past about 10 mins later like i was stood still lol....mind u i was on std limiter then. hehe

Well it doesn't really matter anyway - as said above, you shouldn't have a problem with any model . Unless it's the newest Mk5

my mate has a mk2 monza blue 16v. pics where on here with my car a while back. his has just full magnex and a filter and was r/r at 147bhp and it aint slow, not had a race with him but there cant be much in it and a standard willy, both weigh about the same as well.
