    Faulty Fuel Gague?

Went down to the Renno World thingy on Sunday, and on way back I noticed Fuel gague hadn't changed from just over half a tank, kept on driving for about 15mins then gaugue dropped to 1/4 tank, 10 more mins gauge dropped to below line where light come on.

Anyway filled up Monday, gaugue seemed to be working correctly, showed full, and seemed to be going down correctly, till this morning, it went down to same point as the other day, just over half, then next look it went up to 3/4's, and just now at lunch it;s back at the infamous, just over half position again, which leads me to believe it's stuck or broke.

What involved in changing the bit then, anyone have any idea?

    Cheers

    Rob

Just looking at the Techincal PDF it's says the sender unit is attached to the fuel pump and cannot be purchased separatly, so its either that or the dial....hmmmm.

    Fuel sender unit mate

Can be bastard to cahnge or is relativly easy so ive heard

Some you have to drop the entire tank off (bastard), and some you can access vis the plastic seal below the O/S rear passenger seat (easy).

^^All dependant on year of car iirc, earlier clios i think can access via undernath the seat, i think the later ones (late willy 2's and 3's) the tank might have to be dropped, but im not too sure on that.^^

But it is a well delicate unit so be carfeul.

    And dont smoke

According to the Tech PDF, looks a piece of piss, but would need the whole fuel pump.

How come you haven't fixed yours yet?

Don't wanna replace the whole pump if, its just a gay gague?

Anyone know the price of a Pump from Renno?
