Hi all,

New here and new to Clio Williams. Agreed to buy this Williams 2 today for just £400 but it is rusty in all the usual places so will be a complete ground-up restoration I think. Have gone halves with a friend so that should lessen the load!

Welcome. That looks great, good price and nice mileage. Do think long and hard before you pull it apart. (Unless you have bottomless pockets / lots of time and expertise on your hands / an infinite quantity of welding rods and old fridges just dying to be turned into New Renault Metal.)

If you can bodge it and drive it a bit first, do so if at all possible. They really are their most fun lamping round corners in the snow, and that is not a place generally considered compatible with loads of time and money spent breathing life back into it.
