    steering column/rack

    wen i turn my steering wheel before it actually ingauges in turning it moves about an inch from top of the wheel? does that make sense? anyone had this prob before? guessing its coloumn or rack?

    proberly the join at the bottom of the column, commen for the rubber insert bit to wear away and cause alot of play, some ppl replace the column and some weld it up, i had mine welded and got 0% play in the steering now(combined with new steering arms/trackrods)

    so to get it welded means no need for rubber insert rite?
