Dreaded rear arch costs? How much have you been quoted/paid?

As above, I've seen everything from £500 for a sill/arch in a bad way up to £2000!

Paid 1k for both sides a few years back, rust came back with a vengeance see my thread about getting it all done if i get much change out of 4 k I'll be surprised

If you get an estimate of £X and that is all you pay, either they haven't done it properly, or your car has spent its life in a cocoon at the top of a tower in a hot country away from the sea.

If you end up paying £Y and it's done properly, it's done properly.

£1k should see you with a decent sill / arch repair for both sides....

i spoke to a guy who said that to do the OS arch it'd need the interior and fuel tanbk removing and then cutting, welding and painting, I did't get the impression that it would be a few hundred!

I'm trying to save a bit more by removing everything from the car....I hope my cunning plan works!

It will allow the money you saved to go on other bits. For me it should cover subframe costs
