    First ever track day!

Sunday past I took my Williams 2 on track at Kirkistown race track Co.Down Northern Ireland for the first time & my first time to.

And it was fantastic!! one of the best days I have ever had, I will definitely go again if my wallet can take it. I only had one spin 120 degree at nearly 90mph!

The Williams handled fantastic I got no break fade and the standard Goodyear tyres didn't go off like some other cars on the day.
It was one of the slowest cars but in the conners I was eating evos and then they flew by ; )

I just can't get over how well the car handles and high speed - Im hooked and after buggering my tyres I was thinking of getting some road legal semi slicks and an advice on what may be best?

I will try and post some photos.

I was looking at the R888 and Federal FZ-201 as I only use the Williams on dry days though the Federal would be great and they look so cool!!

Brilliant mate, nice! I must get my car out soon too. Looks very nice as well. Tyres will make a huge difference on track.

Cheers Wobba, the car has taken a lot of work and 2 years to get it to were it is today, when I told people I was going to take the Williams onto the track especially my body work guy they thought I was MAD!

But whats the point in owning a car ilk e this and not using it for what it was made for and at the same time embarrassing newer cars.

I was also thinking of changing all the bushers in the car to polyurethane ones had any one done this and does it make a difference?

Keep an eye out for used semi slicks on ebay & pistonheads, mega bargains to be had & don't be put off if they're not quite or very close to the legal limit, the set I bought that were only just road legal have lasted me for 5 track days, the difference they make will actually scare you
