    De rusting bolts / screws / washers and small things

    Take 5 tea bags

    Add to 1/2 pint of boiling water

    Allow to cool and remove bags. Drop in anything that you want derusting.

    Leave for a few days.

    Voila rust free. :P

    Apparently the tannins in tea react with the iron oxide and the resultant chelated iron drops off into solution.

    Trouble with coke is it contains carbonic acid that will corrode metal. :P

    I did paint my subframe.......but its rusty again, should have got it powder coated

    I'd do it in 2 halfs
