I'm a expert on this now
The vehicle speed sensor is bound in the speedo cable. Think there about £70 IIRC but I may be wrong.
What problems you got then Gunner?

If you fitted a new speedo can you give some tips for fitting bi hp?
I have one ready to fit and need help.

Didn't fit a new one Jill
I cut the earth to the speed sensor in the speedo cable and gave it its own earth. High idle sorted out and idle is rock solid.

Theres a large area behind the speedo to screw a self tapper in. Plenty of room. in fact theres enough room to hang a mirror
