    Toyo T1-R or Proxes 4?

Im in need of a set of decent tyres for the williams and cant decide between the proxy 4's or the T1-R's . The t1-r tyres are a few quid more than the proxes so was just wondering if someone can shed some light? Ive got proxy 4's on the front at the minute and they seem grippy enough. are these any good or is there a better tyre for these cars?
    cheers

I've had a few Toyo's - honestly, steer clear. Not sure how much you're spending, but from now on, I will only be buying PE2's or equivalent. In 15's they're no doubt about £70 a corner. Other tyres I've had and liked were Pirelli P Nero Zero's or Hankook V2's.

Always been happy with T1-r's, and for £31 a tyre you really can't go wrong.

Be very careful to get geometry correct however as if it's not they wear out very quickly

    Thanks for the input :D

You hit the nail on the head with the price of the toyos there sideways danny thats why i was debating between the 2 as it like £3 difference between them. The parada spec 2s are also similary priced with good reviews but toyos have managed to save my life with 2 high speed blow outs in the past in a very old and fast bmw, the tires went completely flat but stayed in tact and on the rim at 110mph when in theory it should have been a lot worse. I beleive they were t1-r tyres. Im getting my prices from demontweeks.co.uk free delivery also.

If I had 2 blow outs on the same brand I wouldn't be using them again! Lol

I got Parada's this time as everyone got all high and mighty about T1R's. They're fine, but no better really

My Williams are running on T1-R now. Good tires for that price, apart from the weak sidewalls. On hard breaking they are tend to move like a jelly.

    Im in the same boat....

All my mates keep saying Federals. They now support the MX5 series IIRC and the new 595 RS-R is just off a R888

still £90 a corner but the sts 595's are pretty good. My friend has them on his Fabia rs and says there much better than his Toyo's were.... just my 2p's worth though
