    My personal opinion is that people buy mk2 shells because they are easier to find in good condition.

    Would be interesting to see the real difference once you have all the side impact bars and airbags etc back out of it, cant imagine the actual shell itself is much heavier once you are talking rally prepped, and then you have advantages like wider track and the fact you can easily adjust the rear camber and toe.

    Personally I stay with the mk1 shells for all the wrong reasons, like I have a fondness for how they look, lol
