Boot Trim

Ordered a boot trim for my Williams One from renault, the type with the Renault & Clio badge mounted on there, however they have said that isnt available anymore.

They have sent the Ph2 version which doesnt have any mounting for the badges and the badges sit on the boot lid rather than the trim.

Is what they are telling me true?

Hi.
couple of things ive noticed recently when ordering renault parts. I think sometimes a parts department may have 1 or 2 microfiches. on one occasion i got the same reply as you for a reno part. But the guy called me back after checking with a bigger distributor/dealer who had a different parts catalog and indeed the part was available.
As for the phase 2 boot strip for those thinking of buying one. They are not the same as the original. They have 2 mounting bolts instead of 4 and do not sit snuggly on the tailgate. I sent my one back.
Ideally i want a proper carbon one made up..LA if your reading this!!

The one i got has two clips on it and has four holes, two on the end and two in the middle near the grab handle.

I will have a ring around a few Renault dealers and see what they have to say.

not sure where that reno dealer got that phase 2 boot strip from that time but it certainly was way off.
did you get a part number for the phase 1 strip Jamie?

The part number on the back of the trim is 7700797662, the part number i recieved was 7700827555, i have just put it on and i ain't happy with it, it would line up with PH2 lights, but looks daft with the Ph1 lights, its too rounded.

Yep no way Jamie that phase 2 strip aint gonna look right on a 1.
Tell you what i will call my reno guy tomorrow with that number off the back of your original strip and see what he comes up with.

Yeah, i should have the correct trim here tomorrow

Part Number wise, im not 100% sure yet.
