does anybody know where the receiver for the central locking
system is on these cars ? its a Y reg clio 1.2 16v , looks like the
keyfob is fried and not showing signs of life .
i got the keyfob from a donor car but cant figure out where the
matching receiver lives

I don't think they are paired like the old ones, you should be able to just reprogram your replacement key.
