high idle problem

over the years i heard this happen to many people .

basicly when i rev the engine over 5k once , the idle wont drop below 2k .
if i turn the engine off and on again ,all is fine back to around 1k rpm .

the solution was always supposed to be poor earthing of the speedo cable at the dials end ,but i am pretty sure thats not the case with mine .


anyone on here actually managed to solve this problem ?

if its not the earthing its the road speed sensor itself,change the speedo cable
