how to set clutch cable?

Right, my clutch is all the way up the top of the pedal, i initailly thought it was because off the clutch cable so i got another and fitted it, but its still right at the top and i cant use the clutch if i put the green pedal stop in.

The way ive been setting it -
disconect cable at pedal and box end
pull the green pedal stop out
put cable in at pedal end
put cable in at box end
put stop in
press it once or twice and it sets

but as said it sets to high and i cnat get gears unless the stop is removed

If you're 100% sure you've got the cable fitted properly on the clutch fork try bashing in the bulkhead pedal-stop like I mentioned on Clio16vlaver. It's better than removing the plastic pedal stop and having the pedal too high.

Also careful when you press the pedal the toothed quadrant thingy doesn't snap back, cuz if it breaks you'll be crying
