    Stereo Question

    Good afternoon to you all.

I had a few problems with my willy 3 after putting a new battery on it, kept losing it's charge after about 2 days. Thought it must have been the battery but eventually found that it was the headunit causing a voltage drain.

Anyhoo, I've taken the old head unit out and need to find a replacement (cheap as poss but decent sound) and I was wondering about the remote control connections for the steering column.

It had a Sony in with all the gubins fitted which I have left in the dash, does this mean that ANY pretty new sony head unit will work from the remote stick thingydoodle or does it have to have that in the spec?

    Cheers
    Sammy

As above any sony except the cheaper new ones, they tend to not have the socket for the steering wheel controls. Currently looking for one myself at the moment and struggling to find one for sub £100 with the control function.
