    Bonnet Wire

    little wire that stops the bonnet opening fully if you forget the bonnet stay bar.

    whats the best replacement and where can i get it from

    Got one from Renault couple of years ago for Davids car, don't recall cost but not much.

    Got mine from renault, can't remember how much it was but it was definately less than £10

    Then in a bout of typical french car owner fashion when doing the engine swap I got pissed off with the bit of wire & cut it off

    Just to re-vitalise a thread - how are these attached on people's cars? Mine has died a death but on a very brief inspection, appear to have been riveted on.

    yeah riveted as standard, but i'm going to get a newun and bolt it with small bolts/nuts :D

    thats what i did, makes it easy enough to take off anytime, even though you can just unbolt the bracket that it connects to and leave it connected at the other end (hope that makes sense)

    I totaly love the bonnet wire. Its such a classic renault afterthought.

    The position of the clock inside makes me laugh too. :D
