    pirelli p6000 ?

    Hi Guys,

    getting new tyres.
    sticking to 185/55
Was thinking PE2 but cheapest is 82 pounds each.
    seen pirelli for 61 pounds.

anyone have any experience with these?

    let me know!

    Step away from the P6000s.

They'll certainly last. But there's a reason for that, they're made of the hardest rubber known to man and consequently are AWFUL tyres.

(Mind you, takes me back to the old days when I passengered in The Kirmanator's silver valver as he tanked it down the Cat & Fiddle after a Caterham. Definitely brown trousers after that. )

Trouble with 185/55 is the price! PE'2 in 195/50 are £50something.

value for money, if you want your tyres to last.

nothing to right home about on the performance front.

Personally for me it's 195/50's with Eagle F1's or PE2's. Car does feel different with the wider tyre though, perhaps traded a bit of finesse for overall grip.

I had some P6000's and they were decent imo. Much better than that Toyo crap everyone on here fits.

yesterday's technology.. the P6000 has been around for over 10 years now.... losts of threads on hear regarding tyre choices - most people seem to have their own opnion on what's best.... as with most things in life, you get what you pay for....

(me, I went from 195's to 185's - less grip but more feel - I tried Toyo Proxes and thought they were shocking.. currently running Dunlop SP Sport Fast Response which were well priced for a branded tyre, last well and are very good on the limit...)

    P6000 are shiiiiit lol

    Toyo are shiiiiitter though ;)

F1s all the way for me. About £60 a corner in 185/55/15 at their cheapest, plus whatever you have to pay your local garage to fit them if you buy them from mytyres.

Will try PE2s when I'm rich lol

F1s rule in the wet, I can't imagine any tyre performing better!
