Im in the same predicament but think im going to go for some toyo's or something along those lines as i want to use them for track and normal road use from time to time!
congrads on the wheels swervin!
The new Toyo R888 are very nice, if you only want to tak ethe set on the car, however if u have a spare set of wheels then maybe you need to look at a set hoosier tyres.
I thought hoosier were drag racing tyres?
avon zv3's
Mine are going on this w/e to get scubbed in for the track day
Yoko A048s are getting a lot of mention elsewhere. Oddly enough, so are P6000s. Apparently the teflon starts to actually grip at track temperatures!
If youve got trackday wheels then just get some heavily worn road tyres which are just about illegal for road use. Yes, Yoko 48's are extremely good, but to get the best from them you will want some heavy negative camber on the front and they also wont last 5 minutes.
Slicks and semi-slicks are frigging expensive and unless your competing or are loaded then not worth the money for trackdays.
so worn normal tyres are actually better than those with a decent tread?
