he is absolutely amazing at it aswell!
as northy says do your research and make sure you get a reputable guy to do it (dont just go on the companies rep as they will have good and bad technicians, pot luck which one you get)
I had a hoof print taken out of my Scoobys front wing (dont ask). After he had done it you could NOT tell it was ever damaged.
any particular company to look for as generally good, or is it total pot luck? and do bodyshops do this?

I know a lad who works there, he has done loads on my car as a foreigner, always a perfect job. It's a very specialist job, he trained for 2 years perfecting the technique before they allowed him to work on any cars...
