throttle body williams

Is it possible to strip down the throttle body on a williams - I have heard that you should not remove the potentiometer? Can you just take out the 2 screews and then put it back on when your done? the reason is I am looking to have mine powdercoated?

mark the exact positions of the locating screw washers on the tps
with a sharp metal object before removing them so that you can refit
the exact same positiion , job done

car will run shit until you adjust it right

i used to do ti by the book using resistance meter and correct ohm values for each wire, but then found out just get the car to idle, move the potentionmeter till it idles at 950 odd rpm and its done worked for me many many times now
