Iv got a lovely mess under my bonet now as the CV boot has split a little on the gearbox side of the LHS drive shaft and thrown loads of gearbox oil everywhere
Can i get another boot fitted or is it an exchange drive shaft jobbie?

replace the c.v. boot asap.
i wouldnt drive the car until its been replaced or you might need e new cv joint.

Cv jont will be fine as it uses the gearbox oil, i'll just end up running dry of gear box oil

Right Iv got it sorted now, been driving it around for a week to find more oil coming from te gear box....... its coming out on the other side seal now (drivers side drive shaft) Are these easy to do? Its not a CV boot as such its more like a oil seal like on a crank.
