Is there a test procedure you can use checking resistance etc to see if its ok ?

I had a Clip test done on my 16v.
And that showed that my lambda wasn't giving the correct readings.
That's more of an overall check than just the lambda. though it didn't really say much else when the test was done.
Its easy for the person who owns the Clip tester, just plugs it into the diagnostic port in the fuse box. And checks the screen.Originally Posted by MatrixGuy
So its really a Renault / Renault specialist test.
Who in the north west has one ?Originally Posted by arj256

no no no it can be done piece of piss mate
Tool needed; Multimeter
4 wires going into the lambda
2 are grey and the other 2 are white and black iirc
The grey wires are heater wires, check for a voltage cant remember wether its battery voltage or 5v
The other 2 are switching wires; check for voltage it should vary constantly from about 0.1v to 5v (again i could be corrected) but the importand thing is that the voltage goes up and down as it changes from rich to lean
