    MOT Failure!!

Hi - Ive just had my MOT on my williams 2 and it failed on steering system has excessive free play detected at the steering wheel (steering rack fitted).

The garage said that it would be the rack but im not so sure as I just cant see it but may be wrong - What other things could it be?

If it is the rack is it a real pain to replace (power steering) and would a 2nd hand one be much cop or would it have to be a new one?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions Adam

Its the column, common problem, can just get it welded.

It's not that hard to take off. Just get the joint at the end, where it meets the steering column, welded.
