    Ktec manifold wrap...

…Is this worth buying? What are the positive and negatives of using it?

Anyone got it and think its worthwhile?

    Cheers

i have done a gmc manifold on my pug, got some pics of the process in my photobucket account.

the actual wrapping i found quite easy, just have to plan out where you are going with it, then as per the instructions spray water onto it, wrap it tight and let it dry (the moisture helps getting a tight fit)

wear gloves and a mask as its itchy stuff!

however what i will say is that after about 2 years (i think) of it being on it has started to fray and come away from the manifold, although this might just be that on the pug the manifolds are at the front of the block and hang quite low under the car (caught it a few times)

have you looked into ceramic coating, more expensive but is more efficient at its job than heat wrap
