wots your budget?
ive had a halfords professional box for 2 years now.
lifetime warrenty and its been the best present ever.
using it 3-4 times a week since ive had it.
Agree with that, I've had my Halfords Pro set for a few years now and its spot on for a home mechanic. Just make sure it is a professional set you get and not one of their other crap sets.Originally Posted by lewis_willy2
another vote for the halfords jobbys ive got the 150 peice set got most of what you need in it tbh think they was on sale for 100 quid not long ago, nt had any problems with any of it use it all the time aswell. defo something id be looking into.
I agree
I have halfords, was about 120 quid, best 120 quid ive ever spent and ever will, lifetime warranty too.
Unless you have the dosh for snap on...
Defo Halfords 150 piece professional, £99 and lifetime warranty.
Mat.
just need a 16mm 1/2 inch
i have the halfrauds set, and its been great, but i have added to it and got there cranked spanners, a socket set on a rail and the star drivers on a rail.
I would say your best option is to buy 1x 1/2 inch breaker bar 1 x 1/ inch ratchet and a full set of sockets on a rail all from the pro range.
then get a decent set of spanners and cranked ones as they are well handy :D
But like i say i have got the full halfrauds pro set and its been in use for 5 years with no issues, but don't use 90% of it
yeah there are little additions you need to mix and match the bits can be a little anoyying but i have 2 other socket sets one real old halfords set thats the best ive ever used lol and a sealey jobby thats not to bad. but on the hole its a damn good set.
