    igniton woes - no spark

    getting fuel, injectors are firing, but no spark. ECU problem ? its only thing that seems to be left. i have tried a different working coilpack.

    is the coil pack being triggered...maybe ecu dizzy cap rotor arm tdc sensor..

    how have you tested for spark....could be faulty earths also...

    tested for spark with a spark plug in the king lead and a HT lead and earthing while turning over


    TDC ? wheres that

    the one on the gearbox thats triggers from the flywheel...

    how did you earth..

    earth to a few places. the liftin eye on the engine, the bonnet catch, any where there was bare metal realy where the cable reached



    is tdc also known s crank sensor?

    Think so. It's the little black plastic thing on the top of the gearbox I think...

    crank sensor must be fine surely? it's firing the injectors

    sounds like ignition drivers on the ECU

    i'd guess the chip mate, its recently come to my attention that the chips require a base board aswell to run, andy fielder has more info from when he tried to copy my chip, give him a pm and have a chat as i dont fully understand what is going on, but he had a look at my ecu at fcs and seemed to think he knew why

    hmm thats not good to hear coops. i shall pm.


    Ecu was at fault. my mistake as to injectors firing, it was just the 5th injector, which flooded my inlet


    managed to get it running today with a williams ECU. (cheers Summeh)
