    failed mot on handbrake

car failed its mot on the handbrake today so got it home and tightend the cable and rubbed the pads and disks down as they was glazed its defo better than before and it holds but it isnt good enough for handbrake turns ect.
so how do i know when its good enough to pass?

you could try removing the pads and adjusting them by screwing the pistons out then try readjusting the handbrake cables to see if that might help

I should have done all the above when mine failed but just took the easy (but expensive :() option of an exchange caliper from GSF and a new cable lol

only needs to be 15% efficient iirc but should be able to do handbrake turns really... might need the calipers re-conned...
