    studs

    for people with studs do these look any good? are they a good price

    I have used them on my old car but with spacers. They seemed alright but when taking the wheel off the whole stud compelte with the nut tended to come out rather than just the nut come off. Suppose I should have used locktight or similar on the stud.

    I'd check that they come with open ended nuts - hard to tell from the photo but they look like they might be closed ones.

    i pressed the buy it now button, if they are closed tops i could poss cut the top off. i'll have to see when they get deliverd

    your meant to tack weld them on at the back really,especially if the wheels are going to be on and off

    Open ended allow a greater range of adjustment - so you can have very long studs and then wind the nut right down to clamp the wheel solid whereas a closed nut would just clamp down on the end of the stud and leave the wheel loose. For motorsport use also you want open-ended studs as they are the type the MSA approve of.
