Loads of people have ditched the carbon canister, just leave the pipes, they vent gasses from teh fuel tank, if you wanna put it back on, get a valver bracket, they weight a few hundred grams.

Can't remember where clutch cable routes, should only go one side?

With the column, make sure the rack or the actual colum is in the right place, iirc the holes that the column bolts on with in the car are slotted to allow adjustment, why did you take the column off the rack?

Try bending the joint where it slodes onto the column, when you bend this is moves up and down a bit iirc, allowing a bit of play

Also this shoudl ahve been in mechanical ;)

clutch cable should be clipped into the top of the subframe from memory

Keep the car 100% standard mate, will save u refitting it again if u ever have any probs

under steering colum coupling mate, needs to come down and out the bulkhead from pedal as straight as possible for as long as poss before looping up under rack to column join, to clips on top rear of subframe then up round inside passenger side chassis rail and round front to box
