    most work the only issue you have is with the ph2 ecus immobilisers or the phase 1 ecus that have had the immobiliser "switched on".

    I have a phase 2 16v clio with a ph1 ecu works fine. I did this because my keys got nicked so i pulled the immobiliser out, changed the locks and fitted ph1 ecu. One of the very few cars that this works on as most manufacturers and the later renaults had different pin configurations for the immobilised models to prevent this from being done.

    Does mean that a ph2 16v can be nicked easily by swapping the ecu with a ph1 one!

    i think a few bum enthusiasts on retro-renault started that
    saying ecus with C letter on them got immobiliser
    built in them etc and wont work on other cars or
    something along that line

    its ghey when you think about it :P :D
