    idle problem

    now i have a rev counter that works i have noticed my idle sits around 900 rpm and now and then drops to bout 700.it doesnt sound bad but u can hear a change in the engine note......(and its annoying me)i assume it shouldnt do this????what should i do to fix it?

    Mine sits at 1100 then drops to 900. Perfectly normal.

    Yes and after coming to a junction. Apparently its normal for the revs to be held higher for a short time before dropping.

    yea mine does that but after its warmed up and idling normally bout 900rpm. now and then when im driving it drops to bout700 then back up its only for a second or so but u can hear change in the engine note.just wondered if i should clean i icv or anything?

    Its not dropping momentarily when the radiator fan kicks in is it? If so that would be perfectly normal.

    not when fan kicks in no. it doesnt drop much just bout 200 rpm and u can hear slight change in engine noise i dont think its bad it just annoys me.just thought to as if i cleaned the icv out would this help?

    Doubt it, cleaning the ISCV dont do shit IMO, but if you got carb cleaner you might aswell.

    Check your air filter for cleanliness and clean out the throttle body too.
